Health Relations

Have you ever been rejected by someone you like just because you’re related to someone they despise? It must have felt as if your heart was cut open, giving you the feeling of despair for the reason that you cannot make yourself “unrelated” to that person they hate.

But rejection doesn’t only happen to humans; it also applies to plants (though not in the same sense as having rejected by your love). For decades, hemp seed plants were rejected and considered as a threat for being related to the now prohibited cannabis plant Marijuana. Since hemp seeds come from a variety of cannabis plant, Hemp and Marijuana are actually relatives. The difference is Hemp seeds only contain minimal to zero amounts of THC, which is the primary psychoactive compound found in Marijuana, so it’s safe and will not get you high. In fact, this plant carries countless wonders which should not be ignored.

A few of its many benefits include boosting the immune and nervous system, improving cardiovascular health, and preventing the production of killer cells which cause cancers. To explain further, Hemp seeds are highly rich in these two essential fatty acids: Omega 3 and Omega 6. These fatty acids accelerate our metabolic processes which are necessary to lower cholesterol levels and burn fats faster to prevent clogging on the artery walls; thus, inhibiting the development of numerous heart conditions, i.e., clot-induced stroke and myocardial infarctions.

Hemp seed oil is also a good source of minerals such as potassium, magnesium, iron, zinc, calcium, phosphorus, as well as insoluble fibers and protein. This oil would be perfect for vegans and vegetarians. It is also low in carbohydrates and sugar content, so it is good for diabetics.

I have to admit, we are not getting any younger. As we age, we develop more complications such as arthritis and joint pains. Fortunately, studies show that Hemp seed oil is successful in lowering, and at certain doses, promoting the death of MH7A Rheumatoid Arthritis Fibroblast-like Synovial Cells which cause arthritis. You can now kiss good-bye these pesky joint pains.

There are maybe those blessed ones who still possess clear and wrinkle-free skin despite their old age. But for those who fall on the contrary, it’s a blessing that Hemp seed oil also promises to give you a more vibrant and beautiful complexion. It increases the skin tissue’s elasticity and water retention, making it an excellent moisturizer for dry and tired skin and nails. It detoxifies and evens out skin tones as well.

Despite the bad reputation of its heritage, Hemp seed oil proved itself to be worthy of recognition and is to its full potential. This is why we should never judge a book by its cover. Don’t want to take our word for it? Try our Microdermabrasion Scrub with Shea Butter and Vitamin E which contains hemp seed oil, and say hello to a more magnificent you!

Sweet Prune Many people I know still have a hard time pronouncing “almond,” and I would be lying if I said I am not among those people. Essential Oils: Tea Tree I was never really into the Miss Universe Pageant until our country hosted it for the second time in 1994. At that time, it was Ms. Charlene Gonzales, a popular actress and TV personality, who represented the Philippines. Although I joined our entire nation in cheering for her, I already had my adolescent heart captivated [...]

Cider Vinegar RulesMost of the people I know have a very strong liking of sour foods, especially that of vinegars. Here in the Philippines, people often include vinegar in their meals as a kind of sauce where they dip fried dishes such as fried fish, sausages, and even fruits like mangoes. In some of my friends’ houses, you would [...]
